Economic overview

According the the report, Economic Survey of the Caribbean 2024, "in 2023, all fifteen countries in the region experienced positive economic growth. The Caribbean average growth was 6.5% which was a deceleration of 1.4 percentage points compared to 2022, with the goods producers growing at 12.2% and service producers at 4.54%." The growth rate for Trinidad and Tobago was 2.7%.

Published in 2025, this ECLAC Caribbean publication shares research about the Caribbean subregion's economic performance for 2023 and early 2024, within selected chapters on the global and subregional performance, including data on unemployment rates; fiscal and debt performance, with details on debt service data; monetary policy and prices, with data on money supply, credit and inflation; as well as external sector developments, including current account balances and foreign direct investment.
