This data was obtained from the 2012 Revision of the World Population Prospects, which is a set of global demographic estimates and projections undertaken by the Population Division of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat. Estimates are for the total population as of 1 July of the year indicated, and may be rounded to the nearest thousand.

Economic overview

According the the report, Economic Survey of the Caribbean 2024, "in 2023, all fifteen countries in the region experienced positive economic growth. The Caribbean average growth was 6.5% which was a deceleration of 1.4 percentage points compared to 2022, with the goods producers growing at 12.2% and service producers at 4.54%." The growth rate for Trinidad and Tobago was 2.7%.
