The British Virgin Islands (BVI) has called on the United Nations (UN) Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) to develop a productive transformation strategy for the Caribbean that is tailored to the specific conditions and needs of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in the Caribbean whose economies rely primarily on services.
