Trinidad and Tobago has a “vital role to play in Venezuela’s recovery,” US Chargé d’Affaires Philip Kern said, pointing to the country’s energy expertise, industrial infrastructure and proximity to its neighbour as potential assets in rebuilding Venezuela’s energy sector.
Kern made the remarks yesterday while delivering the keynote address at the Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago’s annual general meeting at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad. Venezuela’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Trinidad and Tobago, Álvaro Enrique Sánchez Cordero, was among those present.
