An extraordinary engineering operation took place in Curaçao this morning as Panomara, a massive underwater observatory weighing approximately 1.2 million kilograms, was transported from the harbor at Parera to its intended location at the Curaçao Sea Aquarium.
The movement of the enormous structure marks an important milestone in a project that is expected to become a major tourist attraction while also creating new opportunities for scientific research and marine education.
