British Airways is to extend its daily Gatwick-Antigua schedule into April 2027, adding more than 3,000 seats.

The carrier’s daily winter service to V.C. Bird International Airport will continue throughout April before reverting to five flights a week from May until the end of October. The additional capacity comes as Antigua and Barbuda reports an 11.2% year-on-year increase in UK visitors.

The destination welcomed 53,439 stayover visitors from the UK between January and August 2026, compared with the same period last year.

Colin C. James, chief executive of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, said: “This extension of British Airways capacity is a significant development for Antigua and Barbuda and reflects the strength of the UK market.
