The American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine has partnered with The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, to offer eligible medical students clinical training in Jamaica. The agreement, announced recently, enables students to complete mandatory clinical clerkships at the Jamaican institution and its affiliated hospitals in Kingston, whilst remaining enrolled at AUA and completing the university’s curriculum.

“This agreement reflects our commitment to offering high-quality, internationally relevant clinical education opportunities for our students,” said Peter Bell, university president. “Through this collaboration with the Jamaican institution, eligible students will have access to a structured clinical training experience in the Caribbean whilst progressing towards their MD degree.”
