Small states cannot set aside one threat while responding to another, CARICOM Secretary-General Dr Carla Barnett said on 22 September, calling for pandemic financing that reflects how climate and health shocks arrive together and impact vulnerable countries.
The “Two Regions, One Future” event was organised by the Co-operative Republic of Guyana and the Republic of Burundi, in collaboration with the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and the Pan American Health Organization, with support from the United Nations Foundation.
