The Ministry of Blue Economy and Disaster Risk Management, through its National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), is pleased to announce that the Government of India has extended an invitation to train 22 Belizean government officials from various ministries and departments in Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management. This fully funded initiative underscores the strengthening of international partnerships in building Belize’s disaster resilience.
The training, scheduled for March 17-28, 2025, will be hosted by the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) under India’s Ministry of Home Affairs. This opportunity falls under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme and will equip participants with critical skills in disaster preparedness, response, climate adaptation, and post-disaster recovery.
