King Charles III will get a flavour of Bermudian culture, nature and history after his arrival on the island this month. Government House stated that the visit from April 30 to May 2 will mark the King’s first official trip as sovereign to a British Overseas Territory.
A statement said: “The King’s programme will showcase the very best of Bermuda and provide many opportunities to engage with communities across the island.”
The welcome ceremony for King Charles III will include a Guard of Honour mounted by the Royal Bermuda Regiment and a 21-gun salute.
The monarch will meet young people and learn about the restoration of native flora and fauna during a Bermuda Zoological Society’s living classroom session, and engage with Bermudians from different creative backgrounds in Hamilton.
