The ninth meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development will be held at the headquarters of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Santiago, Chile, from April 13 to 16, 2026, under the chairmanship of Peru. The objective of the meeting is to review progress and challenges in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the region.
With only four years remaining until the deadline set for the implementation of the global agenda, the meeting will feature a series of global, regional, and national action dialogues.
During the global action dialogues, to be held on Tuesday, April 14, senior officials from the United Nations and from governments across the region, together with other relevant stakeholders, will exchange views on the follow-up to international commitments adopted in 2025 at the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (Seville, Spain), the Second World Summit for Social Development (Doha, Qatar), and the thirtieth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (Belém do Pará, Brazil).
