A modern software solution utilizing QR codes is set to revolutionize parking in the nation’s capital, according to Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation, and Investment, Charles ‘Max’ Fernandez.

Speaking at the “Your City, Your Voice” consultation last Thursday, the Minister revealed that he recently met with two Antiguans who developed the platform, which allows drivers to pay for parking via their mobile devices in a manner similar to systems used in the United States.

However, the proposal is slated for discussion with the Transport Board before being presented to the Cabinet for potential implementation, he said.
