Director of Education Clare Browne said that in Antigua and Barbuda, education is not confined to a single date on the calendar, but is a daily commitment celebrated every day.
Speaking during a panel discussion on Observer AM, Browne emphasized this point as the world observed the International Day of Education on Saturday, January 24th, under the UNESCO theme “The Power of Youth in Co-Creating Education.”
“For us in the Ministry of Education and across the many educational institutions spread throughout our twin island nation, education is not confined to a single date on the calendar. It is a daily commitment, lived practice, and celebrated every day,” Browne said.
