Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew today, November 14th, held a productive and forward-looking meeting with President H.E. Dr. Lai Ching-te of the Republic of China (Taiwan), reaffirming the more than four decades of friendship and cooperation between the two nations. The engagement formed part of Prime Minister Drew’s official visit to Taiwan, where both leaders delivered remarks and then proceeded into a private discussion focused on strengthening existing partnerships and expanding new areas of collaboration.

In their meeting, Prime Minister Drew and President Lai reflected on the historic and unwavering ties between St. Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan, emphasizing shared values of democracy, mutual respect, and people-centered development. Both leaders expressed a strong commitment to advancing projects in health, education, technology, climate resilience, and municipal cooperation.
