Prime Minister Gaston Browne has met with Executive Director of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage Ibrahima Cheikh Diong during the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, following progress at the fund’s seventh board meeting in Manila last month that established critical operational frameworks for vulnerable nations.
According to the government, discussions with the Executive Director centred on implementing the Barbados Implementation Modalities (BIM) adopted during the fund’s board meeting held from October 7-9 in Manila, Philippines.
