In a solemn session of Parliament today, His Excellency Mr. Mauritsz Johan de Kort officially assumed office as Governor of Curaçao. The ceremony marked the formal presentation of the Royal Decree of November 4, 2025, confirming his appointment, and the protocol of oath-taking held before His Majesty King Willem-Alexander on October 29, 2025.
Speaking before Members of Parliament and invited guests, Governor de Kort delivered an emotional and heartfelt address, expressing gratitude, humility, and pride upon taking on the highest office in the country.
