During its meeting on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the Council of Ministers approved a series of key decisions affecting the country’s infrastructure, energy policy, and public sector workforce. The decisions reflect ongoing efforts to modernize Curaçao’s regulatory framework, improve local infrastructure, and reward civil servants for their service.
Revised Policy for Small-Scale Sustainable Electricity Supply
The Council approved the updated document “Beleidsnota Kleinschalige Duurzame Elektriciteitsvoorziening” (Policy Note on Small-Scale Sustainable Electricity Supply), prepared by the Regulatory Authority of Curaçao (RAC).
The revised policy aims to support the growth of renewable and decentralized power generation, including solar and other green energy solutions. The approval was given following the RAC Director’s recommendation and the proposal of the Minister of General Affairs, signaling the government’s commitment to advancing the island’s energy transition.
