The National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda (NYPAAB) has sent a delegation to St Kitts and Nevis for an official working visit to participate in this year’s Eastern Caribbean Youth Assembly. The St Kitts National Youth Parliament Association (SKNYPA) officially welcomed the Antigua and Barbuda delegation yesterday, which includes Jessica Zouetr, Jawan Jackson, Rainer Santos, Amelia Williams, Christal Percival, Chrysean Jarvis, Cyniya Ireland, Lutrell John, Esther McKenzie, and Kamalie Mannix.

The August 16-20 visit builds upon the two associations Joint Agreement for Partnership signed in 2022. The resolution being debated at the Eastern Caribbean Youth Assembly calls for stronger regional action towards environmental resilience and sustainable development, with particular focus on Small Island Developing States (SIDS) vulnerabilities in the Eastern Caribbean. The resolution specifically praises Antigua and Barbuda for leading the adoption of the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS), described as “a progressive framework aimed at advancing sustainability, resilience, and prosperity in island states”.
