Land reform bills mark generation shift for Bahamas

Prime Minister Philip Davis said yesterday that a suite of land reform bills that were recently tabled in Parliament will, once passed, represent a generational shift in how land ownership is managed and secured in The Bahamas. “I wanted us to meet ahead of the formal debate on land reform legislation because this is not just any debate and these are not just any bills,” Davis said during the Bahamas Parliamentary Land Reform Consultation at Breezes Bahamas Resort. “What we are considering together in the coming weeks is a generational shift in how we manage and secure land ownership in The Bahamas.
