In a bold initiative to combat misinformation and foster informed decision-making in the Eastern Caribbean, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on Tuesday launched a workshop designed to equip young people with the critical skills needed to navigate and leverage data effectively. De-Jane Gibbons, UNFPA liaison officer for Barbados and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), emphasised the crucial role of data in shaping effective social policy in today’s society during the launch of the Data in Action: Youth Data Literacy as a Tool for Change workshop. The event was hosted by the UNFPA in collaboration with the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) at UN House.
