ECLAC, FAO and IICA call for actions to strengthen regional cooperation in order to promote sustainable, inclusive and resilient agrifood systems in Latin America and the Caribbean
The strengthening of regional cooperation is vital today to address the challenges and opportunities created by the confluence of crises around the world, and to be able to promote sustainable, inclusive and resilient agrifood systems in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The point is emphasized in the latest edition of The Outlook for Agriculture and Rural Development in the Americas: A Perspective on Latin America and the Caribbean 2023-2024, a report prepared by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA).
