Haitian government will financially aid as many as 6,000 families affected by food insecurity, the Ministry of Education confirmed.
The assistance called Cash Transfert (monetary transfer) will support families in nine of the 10 departments of the country.
Some 2,100 families in Port-au-Prince, affected by the 2019 peyi lok (blocked country) period and municipalities with highest Covid-19 incidence, will benefit from such an initiative, the Education Ministry said.
