28 May 17 - President Raul Castro met with the top leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People''s Army (FARC-EP), Timoleon Jimenez, who is concluding his visit to Cuba. According to an official press release published on Sunday in the newspaper Juventud Rebelde, Cuba participated for five years as a guarantor and was the venue for the peace talks between the guerrilla organization and the Colombian government.
