Abstract:

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations’ FISH4ACP initiative aims to strengthen fisheries and aquaculture value chains in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. It addresses underlying challenges such as low economic performance, limited market access, and poor social and environmental sustainability. The initiative, led by the Organisation of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS) and funded by the EU and Germany, targets 12 member states to ensure that economic growth benefits local communities and is environmentally sustainable.
