Resumen:
Esta edición del Panorama Económico y Social de la Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños es una contribución de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) a la Quinta Cumbre de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno de la Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños (CELAC), (Punta Cana, República Dominicana, enero de 2017).
El documento se divide en seis secciones, en las que se expone sintéticamente la situación de América Latina y el Caribe en temas económicos, sociales y de población, así como de inversión extranjera, comercio e igualdad de género.

Abstract:
This edition of the Economic and Social Panorama of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States is a contribution by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) to the fifth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC),(Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, January 2017).
The document has six sections summarizing the situation in Latin America and the Caribbean as regards economic, social and population affairs, as well as foreign direct investment, trade and gender equality.
