Experiences of violence and harassment at work: A global first survey

Violence and harassment in the world of work is a pervasive and harmful phenomenon, with profound and costly effects ranging from severe physical and mental health consequences to lost earnings and destroyed career paths to economic losses for workplaces and societies. This report presents the first-ever global account of people’s own experiences of violence and harassment at work using common questions, thereby allowing for an initial measure of the prevalence and frequency of this phenomenon at the global level as well as allowing for comparability of results across regions.
